“Fuller House” had better make room for one more – Steve Hale is back!
Actor Scott Weinger, best known for his work on ’90s sitcom “Full House,” confirmed he’s returning for the upcoming spin-off with a Tweet from the cast’s first table read on Thursday.
“This is not a drill, people,” he wrote, captioning a pic of his name card and the pilot episode’s script. “This is happening!”

Scott’s co-stars Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) also shared excitement for production to begin, Instagramming shots of their custom-made coffee cups that read “Deej’s Coffee” and “Gibbler’s Coffee” in the style of the Starbucks logo.
Fans remember Steve as D.J.’s dopey, devoted and constantly hungry boyfriend, but may not be aware the actor who plays him has a lot more to offer than cute dimples and an empty stomach.

Post-“Full House,” Scott developed a respectable career as a writer for shows like “What I Like About You” and “90210.” Most recently, he penned episodes for critical favorites “Galavant” and “Black-ish.”
Scott has yet to reveal how Steve will fit in the new Tanner family dynamic, but as long as D.J.’s fridge is fully stocked, he’s likely a happy guy.
“Fuller House” will drop its 13-episode first season on Netflix in 2016.
