Former “Bachelorette” contestant Kasey Kahl has found a new heart to “guard and protect” in fellow former “Bachelor” franchise star Vienna Girardi.
Access Hollywood caught up with the pair at SVEDKA’s Night of a Billion Reality Stars Gala event in Los Angeles on Thursday, where the new couple revealed they’ve been dating for a “few months.”
“We kept it under the — like, two months we kept it on the down low and then we got caught,” Vienna told Access of her new relationship.
“We got caught. Busted,” Kasey added.
Fans of the ABC reality dating franchise remember Kasey for getting his arm inked with a shield for “Bachelorette” Ali Fedotowsky – in honor of his infamous promise to “guard and protect” her heart.
However, Kasey’s new flame was quick to attempt to clear up what she says is a misunderstanding about his much-mocked tattoo.
“Actually, so everyone knows this, this is not a tattoo in the honor of Ali,” Vienna told Access. “This is a tattoo in the honor of his non-profit which is for children, so no, it does not have Ali’s name on it [and] no, it wasn’t for Ali, so everybody stop asking.
“People always go, ‘Where’s Ali’s name?’” she continued. “I’m like, ‘It has nothing to do with Ali.’ He just got it while she was on the season.”
Vienna’s beau, however, chimed in with a slightly different version of the story.
“[The tattoo] is just based on in my beliefs in how I think women should be treated and that’s why I wanted to be who I was, and I got the tattoo to show who I was, and show America my heart.”
Jake Pavelka — who proposed to Vienna on Season 14 of “The Bachelor” (the former couple split mere months later) — also attended Thursday’s event, and initially declined to comment on whether or not he’d made up with his ex-fiance.
“I hope she’s doing really well,” he later told Access.
