‘Empire’: Taraji P. Henson Reveals Cookie’s Dream Lover

Taraji P. Henson says her “Empire” character, Cookie, “wants more nookie.”

After getting some lovin’ from her ex, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), and his smoking hot head of security, Malcolm (Derek Luke), during the show’s first season, Taraji has plans for her character’s love life come Season 2.

When asked to name her “dream lover” by Access Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez at the Guys Choice Awards on Sunday, Taraji immediately pointed to LL Cool J.

“Ya know?! Hint!” she laughed, adding that she’d love to have the “Hey Lover” rapper on the show. “I mean why not? He’s music, like, that’s a no-brainer.”

And LL’s physique would fit in quite well with the Fox series’ storylines.

“He has a lot of muscles,” Taraji said. “We can make Luscious very jealous.”

The 44-year-old actress also said she’s worked hard for her current success.

“It doesn’t happen overnight. I’m a living testimony, it takes time and focus and [you’ve] just gotta stay in your lane and not compare yourself to other people,” she said. “There’s no time limit. Like no one can say to you, ‘At this age, this is the age you should make it. This is the age you should blow up.’ Like, no one knows. I’m living testimony!”

Adding, “They’re saying at my age my career should be over, it’s just getting started!”

“Empire” Season 2 will premiere on September 23 on Fox.
