DJ AM’s mother is the sole heir to his estate, according to court papers obtained by Access Hollywood.
In papers filed in LA County Superior Court in Tuesday, the late star’s mother, Andrea Gross, is named as the administrator of his estate. The papers note that the DJ, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, did not have a will.
According to the papers, he held $400,000 in personal property and an additional $3.5 million in real property, which included rights to his recordings – however, the star had debts of $2.9 million, lowering his net assets.
DJ AM was found dead in New York City on Friday at the age of 36 – on a night he was set to travel to Las Vegas to perform his weekly residency at Rain Nightclub in the Palms Casino Resort. The in-demand DJ had recently collaborated with drummer Travis Barker (with whom he survived a fatal plane crash last September) as TRV$-DJAM and released two mixtapes in the “Fix Your Face” series.
