Demi Lovato is looking back on her last 12 months with gratitude.
The “Échame la Culpa” songstress penned a reflective New Year’s Eve message on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, letting fans know she was coming out of 2018 with more wisdom than the year before.
“So grateful for the lessons I’ve learned this year,” she wrote. “I will never take another day in life for granted, even the bad ones. Thankful for my fans, friends, family and everyone who supported me throughout this year. God bless.”
Demi has been on a self-improvement journey since she suffered an overdose in July. Since spending a few months in rehab, the former Disney Channel star has been prioritizing her health and her loved ones.
Over the holidays, she got in some cozy quality time with her family as they opened presents under the Christmas tree.

“I’m working hard on myself, I’m happy and clean, and I’m SO grateful for [fans’] support,” Demi wrote on Twitter on Dec. 22.
“I’m so blessed that I get to take this time to be with family, relax, work on my mind, body and soul and come back when I’m ready,” she continued. “I have my fans to thank for that. I’m so grateful, truly. I love you guys so f***ing much. thank you.”
