“Bones” star David Boreanaz is speaking out about his 2010 affair, where he stepped out on his marriage from wife Jaime Bergman — and the actor claims it has strengthened his marriage.
The 42-year-old actor told TV Week, via Us Weekly, that the 2010 indiscretion was “a bonding experience, in the long run.”
“In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive,” the actor reportedly told the mag. “There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you.”
Boreanaz goes on to say he’s had “fantastic” periods and “extremely rocky” periods during his marriage.
Adding, “No, I don’t [believe in giving up.] I’m a fighter. I’m a lover.”
Though widely reported that the actor stepped out with famed Tiger Woods’ mistress Rachel Uchitel, the “Bones” star has never named the woman he was with in 2010.
“Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities,” Boreanaz said in May 2010 after coming forward about the affair. “I was irresponsible.”
The couple has two children, son Jaden, 9, and daughter Bella, 2.
