Courtney Love has been candid about her past personal hurdles and the singer/actress says chanting has kept her on the right path.
“I chant,” Courtney told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live.
“You can tell when I’m not doing it, I get in trouble and then [when] I am doing it, I don’t get in trouble,” the rocker, who appeared with singer/songwriter Linda Perry to promote the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s An Evening with Women on May 19 – where Courtney will perform – explained.
“It’s really, really good for me,” the 47-year-old continued. “So, that’s my religion.”
The Hole frontwoman told Billy and Kit that she’s planning to chant with a group of women that includes Lindsay Lohan.
“She’s coming to my house to chant,” she said of the headline-making actress. “But, I don’t speak to her very much. We have a mutual friend. There’s like seven women coming to chant on Friday. [It’s] a women’s group. She’s coming to chant, which is good for her.”
When it came to questions about Courtney’s love life, the star remained mostly mum.
“The answer I’d love to give you would be hilarious, but she’d kill me,” Courtney said when asked if she was dating, referring to Linda. “I don’t know how to say that word, ‘dating.’ I’m not dating anyone.”
Courtney did, however, tell Billy and Kit that she’s looking to get back on the big screen.
“I really want to [act again],” she explained. “I got sent three screenplays that are green lit. I have a lot great support.”
