Corey Haim will be laid to rest in Toronto, his mother, Judy Haim, told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos in an exclusive interview on Wednesday night.
Corey, the star of such ‘80s films as “Lucas,” “The Lost Boys” and “License To Drive,” died in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He was 38.
In addition, the actor’s mother said she will be moving back to Toronto, where her daughter also lives and is due to give birth within the next few weeks.
Judy Haim said it was important for her to have her son laid to rest near family so she can visit him.
She also told Maria that the apartment she shared with Corey, where paramedics were called to early Wednesday after the actor collapsed, belonged to the former teen icon.
Four prescription drug bottles were found in the apartment, according to the LA County Coroner’s Office.
However, as for what killed her son, Judy Haim said people shouldn’t jump to conclusions.
“Dont make assumptions before you get results,” she told Maria, adding that the family doesn’t even know the cause of death yet.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Corey had been experiencing flu-like symptoms in the days leading up to his death.
