Christina Applegate Not Ready For Another Baby, Yet

Christina Applegate is cherishing every moment of being a first-time mom – so much so that’s she’s not ready to have another baby anytime soon.

“Nope! Not yet,” the actress said when asked if she wants to have another baby by AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman, who visited Christina on the set of “Up All Night” in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The 40-year-old mom, who gave birth to daughter Sadie Grace in January 2011, is in awe of the changes taking place in her daughter’s development every day and doesn’t want to miss any precious moments with her baby.

“I just want to spend time with [Sadie] now. I love little babies — I do — I just love this little person now. I love the talking, the conversing, giggling, being funny, dancing little person,” she said of her 20-month-old little girl. “And I want to just kind of spend that time right now and not be going, ‘Oh I can’t do that because now I’ve gotta do that.’ And I’m working and it’s just too much!

“Maybe when she’s like 5, or something like that. I know, people are doing the math, like, ‘But you’ll be like, 56!’” she added, with a laugh.

And Christina is definitely staying busy at work. “Up All Night” was renewed for a second season and when the NBC hit returns with new episodes in the fall, the actress said there will be big changes throwing a wrench in the works for both her character, Reagan Brinkley, and her best friend/boss Ava Alexander (played by “Saturday Night Live” alum Maya Rudolph).

“The biggest change is that there’s no Ava show — it has been canceled,” Christina said. “ So Reagan is a stay-at-home mom — which changes the original concept of the show.”

Christina’s on-screen husband, Will Arnett (who plays Chris Brinkley), will go back to work now that Reagan is unemployed – and the lifestyle change is not an easy one for TV producer Reagan to swallow.

“They’re learning to do with this new thing. It’s difficult for her — she’s very controlling so… she’s producing her child’s life now,” Christina said.

“Up All Night” Season 2 premieres on Thursday at 8:30 PM on NBC.
