Christina Aguilera became the proud mom to a daughter in August and named the baby girl Summer Rain.
The singer explained to People why she and fiance Matt Rutler chose that moniker for their first child together.
“Summer is a time of spreading warmth and light, while rain washes away,” the 34-year old star told the mag. “[Rain] replenishes and brings new life to allow growth and new beginnings.”
Christina and Matt are happy with their name choice for their daughter, as the “Voice” coach said Summer is already living up to her name’s meaning.
“I wanted her name to be filled with inspiration, love and joy,” she said. “And thatââ¬â¢s exactly what she brings to all who encounter her.”
Adding, “Her beauty and sunshine exude from within.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Christina ââ¬â who is also mom to 7-year-old son Max Liron from a previous marriage ââ¬â has lined up an exciting new TV gig.
The singer will appear on ABC’s “Nashville” in multiple episodes as pop star Jade St. John.
Christina’s “Nashville” run will air this spring.
