Chris Soules Reveals Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘Unconventional’ ‘Bachelor’ Influence

Jimmy Kimmel made time to help Chris Soules find love on this Monday’s episode of “The Bachelor.”

“I feel pretty lucky to be able to know him and to consider him a friend, but it was just a lot of fun,” Chris told Access Hollywood at the Television Critics Association Winter Tour in Pasadena, Calif. “He helped plan the dates for that week and he got us doing some pretty unconventional things throughout the week that I don’t think has probably ever been seen in ‘Bachelor’ history, so it should be a lot of fun to watch.”

Chris’ recent appearance on Access Hollywood Live also ranks towards the top of his favorite “Bachelor” memories. He hopped in the hot tub with hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

“Between Kimmel and that interview, those were the best interviews I’ve ever been a part of. I had a lot of fun,” Chris said. “Those two are great… Billy was laughing so hard he was crying and they were a lot of fun to talk to.”

The small-town Iowa farmer was happy to step out of the corn fields and explore Tinseltown for a bit.

“I’ve been able to see more of LA than I’ve ever seen in my entire life. My first trip to LA was for the casting process. That was the first time I’d ever been to LA, so it’s been really cool to see this part of the world and I’ve just met a lot of really great people,” he told Access.

Chris’ time in Hollywood isn’t permanent. Once his reign as “The Bachelor” comes to a close, he plans to go back home to life on the farm.

“I’m looking forward to just kind of going away, you know, and being able to be back to normal,” he explained.

His desire to return to his rural roots contributed to the end of his romance with “Bachelorette” Andi Dorfman last season.

“I think there was definitely a disconnect between where we lived and I think that was a big issue for our relationship, so I think that she’s probably gonna be better off finding somebody in the Atlanta area because I think that’s where she wants to be,” he said.

But, when Chris heard that Andi and Josh Murray broke their engagement recently, he offered his support to his former flame.

“I reached out to her and I just told her, gave her my condolences and wished her the best. I’m sure she’ll be alright, but it’s too bad that didn’t work out. I was surprised,” he said.

“The Bachelor” airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
