Cher’s Advice To Christina Aguilera: ‘Ex-Husbands Will Come And Go’

The newly single Christina Aguilera learned a great deal from music & screen legend Cher while filming the upcoming “Burlesque,” including a lesson in love.

Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts caught up with the sensational stars last night at the Los Angeles premiere where Christina recalled some relationship advice that Cher had given her while filming

“She had a great quote, she said, ‘Ex-husbands will come and go, but I will always remain Cher,’” the singer / actress, who filed for divorce from husband Jordan Bratman last month, told Tony.

“She’s been there, done everything before any of us came along, so she’s amazing,” she continued. “What a body of work, what a career… she was definitely a mentor and I walked away with a new friend.”

Later, Tony was there when Christina and Cher reunited on the red carpet and the “Not Myself Tonight” singer asked Cher for a little more support.

“So good to see you! I need to hold your hand in the theater tonight,” Christina told Cher.

“This is as good as it gets. And you got it,” Cher said.

“Burlesque” hits theaters on November 24.
