People magazine has named Chace Crawford “Summer’s Hottest Bachelor” in their tenth annual Hottest Bachelors issue. The “Gossip Girl” star sat down with the mag to talk perfect dates, dating Carrie Underwood, made-up gay rumors with co-stars and why he loves being a bachelor.
“I’m not not looking for a girlfriend—but I’m not particularly looking for a girlfriend, either. I’m not knocking having a relationship; at the end of the day, you want to share with someone,” he told the mag. “But I just look at it as: I have the rest of my life to do that. I’m not in any rush.”
And when Chace does decide to date – his potential love interests better be good at beer pong.
“All you need is a pool table, beer, an electric jukebox and good conversation,” Chace said, adding, “The day a girl beats me in a game of Beirut [a kind of beer pong] is a good sign!”
As for past relationships, Chace revealed that unlike many Hollywood splits, he only has fond memories of dating Carrie Underwood.
“I have nothing bad to say about that experience. It was awesome,” he said of the country super star. “I just didn’t know how to deal with it. I learned a ton about dating someone in that kind of spotlight. It was such a whirlwind, but no regrets.”
The upcoming star of the “Footloose” reboot doesn’t even have regrets about rumors that surfaced on various blogs and gossip Web sites about a secret gay romance with his “Gossip Girl” co-star Ed Westwick.
“You know what we really did the first time we heard it?” Chace said of the pesky rumors. “Ed goes, ‘Oh, did you hear that rumor about us being gay?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, man.’ He starts laughing and we’re kind of like, ‘Okay, you want to go play pool and have a beer?’”
Other celeb bachelors also making the list this year include, Robert Pattinson, Bradley Cooper, Chris Pine, Zac Efron, Adam Lambert, Shia LaBeouf, Bret Michaels, Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Prince Harry, tennis player Rafael Nadel, Taylor Kitsch and Brody Jenner.
