Candace Cameron Bure has “Full House” to thank for helping her communicate with her husband.
The actress and “Dancing with the Stars” contestant appeared on Access Hollywood Live on Thursday, where she talked about her family – as well as the unexpected educational value of her former sitcom.
“He actually learned English from watching ‘Full House,’” the 37-year-old said of Valeri, a former NHL hockey player.

“He’s Russian and he came to this country when he was 17,” she continued.
Candace met Valeri through her former “Full House” co-star Dave Coulier and called their first moments together “love at first sight.”
The couple’s kids, Natasha, 15, Lev, 14, and Maksim, 12, have become Candace’s biggest ballroom fans.

“[They are] so excited and so thrilled,” the proud mom told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover. “My kids were so proud of me… They are rooting me on. My boys are trying to learn the routine. My daughter is like, ‘Mom you need to [show] this face.’”
Candace’s “Full House” TV family is also in her corner.
“[They’ve told me,] ‘We’re proud of you, we’re so happy for you,’ they’ll be at the show,” she added.
