Britney Spears Serves As ‘Honorary’ Bridesmaid At Cousin’s Wedding

Britney Spears has already been down the aisle twice herself – but on Saturday, the pop star was a “honorary” bridesmaid at her cousin’s wedding.

According to People, the pop star left her vacation getaway in the Bahamas to attend the wedding of her cousin, Laura Lynne Covington.

Britney reportedly made a “low-key” appearance as a “honorary” bridesmaid at the ceremony in Louisiana.

“When her brother walked her down the aisle, she looked stunningly calm and beautiful,” a wedding guest told the mag. “She was very pretty, low-key. She was not the center of everything, just pretty and calm and collected.”

The wedding took place at the First United Methodist Church in Amite, La., the same location of Britney’s aunt’s funeral in January 2007.

Britney and sister Jamie Lynn, who had baby Maddie with her, “sat at a table off to the side and visited with local people she knew,” the guest told the mag.

“There was no fanfare,” the guest noted. “With all the star power Britney and her family command, it was still the bride’s day.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the pop star heads out on the European leg of her “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” tour, which kicks off on June 3 with 9 shows at London’s 02 Arena.
