There are perks to dating your co-worker – for Blake Shelton and
Gwen Stefani, it’s in the form a possible future hit
song.
According to People, the “Voice” coaches – who both recently split with their respective exes – wrote a
country song together.
“It’s amazing how good she sounds on a pretty country song,” a
source told the mag. “And it sure is good to hear Blake singing real
country again.”
The song is reportedly a mid-tempo ballad and is about someone
telling their lover to get out of their relationship if that is what they truly
want.
The song has yet to be cut and there is no word when it might be
released.

Gwen, who ended her 13-year
marriage to Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale in August, and Blake, who split from his
wife of four years and fellow country sensation Miranda Lambert in July,
confirmed their budding relationship on Wednesday after weeks for rumors.
“Blake and Gwen work together and are both
single and have recently started dating,” a joint statement from the new couple, released just hours before
Wednesday’s CMA Awards, read.
The duo is currently appearing alongside one
another on Season 9 of “The Voice,” next airing Nov. 9 at 8 PM ET/PT
on NBC.
