The “Big Bang Theory” universe just got bigger. A
spinoff of the massive comedy hit is officially on the way.
On Monday, CBS revealed that prequel series “Young
Sheldon” will debut on the network in the 2017-18 season.
According to a press release from the network, the half-hour comedy focuses
on a 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper and his family as he attends high school in East
Texas. Unlike its predecessor, “Young Sheldon” will be shot in a
single-camera format.
