Newly engaged “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard is singing the praises of her groom-to-be Jef Holm.
Access Hollywood caught up with the couple on Monday, where the reality star chatted about how her second time looking for love on TV is very different than her first.
“It has been complete night and day,” the 26-year-old single mom, who was previously engaged to “Bachelor” Brad Womack, said. “I never want to take anything away from my relationship with Brad. It was great while it lasted, but it wasn’t just forever.”
Emily says she has connected with Jef in a way unlike any other person before.
“I feel like Jef and I bring out the best in each other and he is just like my best friend. We talk about everything, we communicate better than I have with anybody in my whole life. I feel more comfortable around him,” she continued. “He’s already seen me with no makeup on, looking rotten, and that says a lot!”
And she thinks their relationship will stand the test of time.
“I never would have gotten engaged unless I felt it was different. I feel so confident in what we have,” she added.
In related news, “Bachelorette” and “Bachelor Pad” contestant Chris Bukowski, who made it to the final four during Emily’s season, gave the couple his seal of approval on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood Live.
“It was a little bit weird [seeing them together on the finale],” he told Kit Hoover and guest co-host Donny Deutsch. “Jef is a great guy, I think they look good together and I’m happy for them.”
Adding, “I think Jef is 100 percent the right guy for Emily, I think they’re perfect for each other.”
