“J. Edgar” star Armie Hammer recently pulled off a nearly impossible feat – managing to look charmingly handsome in what is usually the least attractive photo of all – a mug shot.
“What you didn’t see is there was a makeup crew there, really, to do the whole thing,” Armie joked with Access Hollywood correspondent Tim Vincent at the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, when asked how his mug shot – stemming from a marijuana possession arrest back in November – managed to look “Vogue” worthy. “I got eight hours of sleep that night. I was fresh faced.
“It definitely was not 5:45 in the morning,” he jokingly added.
The 25-year-old actor will soon put his dashing good looks to good use playing Prince Andrew Alcott alongside Lily Collins’ Snow White in “Mirror Mirror,” slated to hit theaters on March 30, then will suit up as The Lone Ranger alongside Johnny Depp’s Tonto.
“We go out to New Mexico in a couple of days,” Armie revealed, when asked when production begins on Gore Verbinski’s “The Lone Ranger” reboot. “We’re [starting] all pre-production stuff.”
“The Lone Ranger,” which also stars Helena Bonham Carter, is set for theatrical release in May 2013.
