Ariana Grande And Billie Eilish Trail Behind Post Malone’s 7 AMA Nominations

The AMAs are just around the corner!

Music fans were on the edge of their seats as the nominees for the 2019 American Music Awards were announced this morning.

Chart-topping rapper Post Malone led with seven nominations including Artist of the Year and Collaboration of the Year.

In a close second, Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish each tied with six nominations. After a wildly successful year, Billie earned her first AMA nomination, in the running for New Artist of the Year, while veteran popstar Ariana is up for Artist of the Year, alongside Halsey, Drake and Taylor Swift.

Taylor stands as the reigning queen of that category, which comprise just four of her 23 AMAs. If the “Lover” singer brings home two more trophies this year, she will break Michael Jackson’s record for most AMAs of all time.

Other noteworthy nominees include “Old Town Road” star Lil Nas X with five nods, and Billy Ray Cyrus, Khalid and Ella Mai, who each scored four nominations.

The awards show will air live on November 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
