Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are done having kids… for now.
“The Tourist” actress told Larry King on Wednesday’s “Larry King Live” that they aren’t planning on expanding their brood — via adoption or naturally — at the moment.
“No plans at the moment,” Angelina told Larry. “But we’re always open [to the idea].”
As for their current family, which includes six little ones, Angelina revealed that she and Brad do their best to make sure the kids aren’t scared by the constant attention from the paparazzi.
“Well, we try not to get them into the middle of it. We try to get them around things and under things so they [aren’t exposed to the photographers], but when they do [capture the children], we just have to kind of smile and say, ‘Don’t worry, it’s not scary. They just like to take pictures,’” Angelina explained. “As a parent, the only thing you can do is try to make sure that they don’t feel it’s a threat, you don’t act like it’s a threat, and you just keep smiling so they don’t feel anything negative.”
Larry also asked Angelina if she thinks there will ever be “a cure for the paparazzi,” something the actress said it will take baby steps to combat.
“I don’t think the hunger for it will ever go away, so I think that’ll always be fed. I do think and I do hope there will at some point be laws about how close they can get to children with cameras, because I think at some point, it’s gonna be clearer that it’s emotionally not healthy, and with long lenses, there’s no need,” she said. “I am somebody that would like there to be a law about the distance they have to children, so I think we work for things like that, something simple and practical, but the overall of it, it’s a monster that you can’t think about or control
