Angela White is doing her part to help those impacted by the Eaton Fire. The 36-year-old entrepreneur chatted with Access Hollywood about what she is doing to help those in need.
“I’ve partnered with Mixed Behaviors Foundation, and we are basically going out to the community and reaching out to the families to go and help them because you know when it first happened everyone was, ‘Oh, the fires, the fires’ but now, nobody is doing anything,” she told Access Hollywood before admitting why it’s important that even months after the fires were put out, people continue to give back.
“It’s very upsetting to me because people aren’t helping and if I could use my likeliness and my support and my energy and my love to pour into these families while partnering with a really good foundation that’s actually going to do what they say they’re going to do, then I’m all in,” she told added.
The Eaton fire in Altadena, Calif. started on Jan. 7 and burned 14,021 acres. It was contained on Jan. 31 and the cause is still under investigation. The Palisades Fire also started on Jan. 7 and burned 23,707 acres. It was also contained on Jan. 31 and its cause is also under investigation.
Months after the fires started thousands of Los Angeles residents are still dealing with the impact of the fires, including some of Angela’s friends.
“Two of my really close friends lost their houses and their family houses and now we have to rebuild and people have to understand that this isn’t just ‘Oh you go and rebuild,’ it’s steps to it and I’m learning the steps to inform other people of how to go about it,” she said.
As she uses her voice for good, Angela is also revealing how she is teaching her two kids, 12-year-old King Cairo and 8-year-old Dream, how to give back.
“I teach them not to hold onto things and put so much emphasis and value on materialist things,” she said. “They are not materialistic kids at all and they do share and they do care.”
