Amy Poehler & Jack Black Sing Bette Midler’s ‘The Rose’ – Watch!

Is there anything Amy Poehler can’t do?! We think not…

The “Parks and Recreation” star took to the stage with Jack Black over the weekend at Tenacious D’s Festival Supreme in Los Angeles, and the paired performed an impressive duet of Bette Midler’s iconic 1979 ballad “The Rose.”

Wearing aviator shades, clogs, a long flowing dress and a vest, cigarette in hand, Amy impressively belted out the lead while Jack joined in on the second verse, adding harmonies.

Amy has spoken of her love of Bette in the past.

While giving a speech at the New York Restoration Project’s 13th Annual Spring Picnic in 2014, the actress spoke fondly of Bette.

“So, I first met Bette Midler in my head when I watched the film ‘The Rose’ in 1979. And since then, her and I have been best friends, in my head,” Amy said at the time. “In my head, she and I travel together, we have cut an album, and we pranked George Clooney.

“She’s the godmother to the children of mine that she has never met, and once, Bette turned to me in a dream and said, ‘Amy, you are the most talented person I’ve ever met. I hate to say this, this kills me, but you’re more talented than me. God bless you and I release you to God,’ and then she turned into a million doves and flew away,” she added.
