Alex Cooper Shares How New Peacock Live Show Will Give Fans A ‘Fun Watch Party’ For Paris Olympics

Alex Cooper is headed to Paris for the 2024 Olympics!

The “Call Her Daddy” creator and media personality is set to host Peacock’s “Watch with Alex Cooper,” a series of live interactive watch parties for the Summer Games.

As Alex told Access Hollywood guest correspondent Emily Orozco, the series will be a fun and accessible way for viewers to enjoy the Olympics, even if they’re not hardcore fans of every sporting event onscreen.

“There are so many people who are overwhelmed by sports. Sports is intimidating,” she said. “The show that I’m bringing to Peacock is a live show, where I’m going to … have comedians, I’m going to have celebrities, I’m going to have friends. People can write in. It’s going to be basically a fun watch party.”

“Yes, we’re going to watch the sports, but it’s OK if you don’t understand the sport,” Alex continued. “We’ll talk about it, but it’s not going to be watching the entire game. The real sports fanatics, go watch the game. Come over to us if you want to have a good time!”

Alex told Access that she feels like “the Olympics is the perfect merge” between her work on “Call Her Daddy” and her and her family’s sports background.

“My dad has worked the Olympics [as a producer]. My sister has worked the Olympics as an editor … Sports has been in my family,” she shared.

“I get it when people online are like, ‘Call Her Daddy Alex? What is she doing in sports?’ [But] I played Division I soccer. My dad played Division I sports. This is not random for my family. I grew up in a sports household,” Alex added.

Catch “Watch with Alex Cooper” on Peacock throughout the 2024 Olympics in Paris, and see Team USA compete at the Olympic Games starting July 26 on NBC and Peacock.
