Abby Lee’s”Dance Moms” news comes at the end of what’s been a tough year for the reality star.
She underwent emergency spinal surgery in April to treat what doctors initially thought was a severe infection. She later received a preliminary diagnosis of Burkitt lymphoma, and took to social media to express gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans.
She had a second spinal surgery over the summer, and revealed in a July Instagram post that she had undergone her fifth round of chemotherapy.
Abby Lee was released from prison earlier this year. She had been sentenced in 2017 to one year and a day for bankruptcy fraud and bringing more than $120,000 worth of Australian currency stateside without reporting it, per the Associated Press.
“Dance Moms” recently featured guest choreographers Cheryl Burke, Lauriann Gibson, Aisha Francis and Miranda Maleski.
A rep for Lifetime, which airs “Dance Moms,” wasn’t immediately available for comment.
