Vin Diesel Sued By Former Assistant For Alleged Sexual Battery In 2010
A former assistant for Vin Diesel has sued him for alleged sexual battery. According to court documents filed on Dec. 21 and obtained by Access Hollywood, Asta Jonasson claims that the “Fast & Furious” star allegedly groped and molested her while she was working for him during the production of “Fast Five” in 2010. Neither Diesel nor his representatives immediately responded to a request for comment from Access Hollywood. The papers claim that Jonasson flew to the franchise sequel’s filming location in Atlanta to begin her employment and was fired less than two weeks later, hours after the alleged assault. According to the suit, Diesel allegedly “forcibly grabbed Ms. Jonasson, groped her breasts, and kissed her” while they were alone in his hotel suite, as she “struggled continually to break free of his grasp, while repeatedly saying no.” Jonasson claims that she reached the front door where Diesel allegedly “groped her body, dropped to his knees and pushed Ms. Jonasson’s dress up, groped her legs, and attempted to pull down Ms. Jonasson’s underwear.” Jonasson’s suit further claims that Diesel then followed her to the bathroom and allegedly pinned her to the wall and masturbated while she protested. In addition to alleged sexual battery, Jonasson’s suit is claiming discrimination on the basis of sex/gender, infliction of emotional distress, a hostile work environment, wrongful termination and retaliation. She is requesting a jury trial.
