Kanye West has released a new track which seemingly features his and Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West and Sean “Diddy” Combs. The song, titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” also claims to feature Combs’ son, King Combs, and begins with a recording appearing to be of Diddy speaking on the phone with Ye and telling him he appreciates the rapper’s support. Later, 11-year-old North is heard rapping a few lines. However, Ye appeared to delete the track from his X account by March 16 and claimed that his ex-wife allegedly tried to block its release. In now-deleted posts on X, Kanye released what looked like screenshots of alleged text messages between the exes that appear to show that the “SKIMS” founder has trademarked their daughter’s name. “I’m never speaking with you again,” Ye said in the alleged thread, prompting the reality star to allegedly respond, “I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop. I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her. One person has to trademark!” She allegedly continued, “We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids names and trademarks so no one else would take them.” However, Ye appeared to disapprove of Kardashian’s alleged response, writing, “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me.” TMZ, who published the screenshots, reported that the reality star “tried really hard” to prevent the track from coming out, including issuing a cease and desist as well as an emergency hearing with a mediator and a judge which Kanye reportedly did not join. Access Hollywood has reached out to Kardashian, West, and Combs’ respective representatives for comment.
